Am I an author and/or publisher?

answers1:If you self published a novel, then you are an author. Even
if no one will really respect you because you couldn't go through a
regular publishing company and be published. You had to pay someone to
do so. Not exactly setting the standards, are you?
answers2:If you self publish a novel (or anything else) you are both
author and publisher so yes, you can consider yoruself an
author/publisher.
answers3:Yes, but any person with a good amount of income would have
been able to do what you have just done. So it's hardly a big
achievement...It's also called vanity publishing for obvious reasons.
I'm not dissing it though. I think it's good if you are not expecting
a lot of readers and/or just want it printed for you and a few
friends. That's cool. =)
answers4:I am pretty sure your still just an author
answers5:in case you self printed a diverse, then you actually are an
author. even with if no human being will quite recognize you because
you would possibly want to no longer move by an conventional
publishing organisation and be printed. You had to pay someone to
achieve this. no longer precisely putting the criteria, are you?
answers6:I'm not saying this to be nasty, truly I'm not, but
professional writers will consider you neither an author nor a
publisher.Just saying it now, so if you self-publish and later join a
writing forum, you will be forewarned not to apply either label to
yourself.
