Verdie Wollen: Because you name is still on the title and registration for the vehicle you are responsible and liable for anything or any incident which the vehicle is involved. You will have to pay for the moving violations, unless your ex can be located. However, you should submit a release of liability statement to the IL DMV should you wish to no longer be responsible.
